Are you looking for a tasty Italian sausage soup recipe? Then check out this one!

Many years ago, I had a favorite recipe for Italian Sausage soup. Somehow I lost the recipe and searched high and low for a similar one. I found one and then modified it to approximate the old favorite.
That’s what you’ll find here.
You can make countless riffs to this recipe, such as adding fewer zucchini, adding pasta, ravioli, or your favorite beans. The key element is the tomato broth and the Italian Sausage because they create a marvelous flavor. Check the notes at the end of the recipe for many options. Enjoy!
Atmosphere
This soup can be made spicy or mild. I like spicy, so a bottle of Primitivo is a perfect companion, along with some Dean Martin playing softly in the background.
